Who we are

Oyster is the trading name of Catapult Creative Collective, LLC, a limited liability company formed in Colorado, USA. The legal entity and the brand are not the same string: contracts, invoices and formal notices carry Catapult Creative Collective, LLC; everything else carries Oyster.

This page covers oysteragency.co and the forms on it. It does not cover any engagement between Oyster and a client – those are governed by a signed services agreement and the statements of work under it, which take precedence over anything written here.

Write to us at privacy@oysteragency.co for anything on this page: privacy questions, requests to see or delete what we hold, and corrections. For everything else, salutations@oysteragency.co.

What this site collects

Two forms, and nothing else.

The contact form asks for your name, your email address, and what you're working on. All three are things you type on purpose.

The Field Notes signup asks for an email address, so we can send you Field Notes.

There is no account to create, no login, no profile, and no purchase. We don't buy contact data, and we don't enrich what you send us against third-party sources.

Both forms carry two quiet spam checks: a hidden field a person never sees and a bot usually fills, and a check on how fast the form was completed. Both look at the submission for a moment as it passes and neither stores anything of its own.

Our web host keeps standard server logs – IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser – as part of running a web server. That happens for every site on the internet, we don't build anything on top of it, and we don't use it to identify visitors.

Where it goes, and who handles it

A submitted form posts to a Google Apps Script endpoint. That script writes the submission to a Google Sheet in our Google Workspace account and sends a notification to us from the same account. That is the whole path.

Google is the only third party that processes what you send, and it does so as our provider – storing and moving the data, not using it for its own purposes. Our web host processes the server logs described above.

We don't sell your information. We don't share it for advertising. We don't hand it to anyone else, other than the providers above, except where the law requires it.

How long we keep it, and how to have it deleted

We keep contact form submissions for as long as the conversation is live, and for two years after it goes quiet – long enough that a project reopening in eighteen months doesn't start from nothing. After that we delete them.

Field Notes email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Every Field Note carries an unsubscribe link, and using it removes the address.

You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to privacy@oysteragency.co. We'll act within thirty days and tell you when it's done. There's no charge, and you don't need to give a reason.

Some records can outlast a deletion request: signed agreements, invoices, and anything else we're required to keep for tax or legal reasons. We'll say so if that applies.

Cookies, analytics, and tracking

This site sets no cookies of its own. As built, it carries no analytics script, no tracking pixel, no advertising tag, no session recording, and no third-party embeds. There is nothing following you from this site to another one.

We may add privacy-respecting analytics later – the kind that counts pages and referrers in aggregate without cookies or cross-site identifiers. If we do, this page changes first, and the date above changes with it.

Because we don't track you, there is nothing here for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off. If that changes, so does this section.

Children

This site is for people doing business with us. It is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to privacy@oysteragency.co and we'll delete it.

Terms of use

By using this site you agree to the terms in this section.

The site is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, and we don't warrant that it will be either. Nothing here is professional, legal, or financial advice, and nothing here is an offer – a proposal is an offer, and it arrives signed.

You're welcome to read, quote and link to this site. You may not scrape it at scale, harvest it to train a model, copy it wholesale, resell it, misrepresent it as your own, or attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to it or the systems behind it.

Where we link out, we're pointing at something we found useful. We don't control those sites and we aren't responsible for what's on them.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Catapult Creative Collective, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this site, and our total liability for any claim relating to this site is limited to one hundred US dollars. Client engagements are not covered by this limit – the signed services agreement governs those, and sets its own.

We may change this page. The date above says when we last did, and the version you're reading is the one that applies.

Intellectual property

The words, design, code, typography, motifs and the Oyster wordmark on this site are the property of Catapult Creative Collective, LLC, except where noted below.

Client work shown here appears with permission. Client names, logos, marks and materials belong to those clients, not to us, and nothing on this site grants you any right to use them. Case studies describe our work; they are not an endorsement by the client unless one is quoted and attributed.

Under our client agreements, the deliverables we make for a client belong to that client on full payment. What we keep is our own: the methods, frameworks, tools and approaches we bring to the work, and the general knowledge we build doing it. The work we show here is shown under that arrangement – the client owns the deliverable, and we retain the right to describe how it was made.

If you want to reproduce something from this site, write to salutations@oysteragency.co and ask. The answer is usually yes.

This page and any dispute arising from your use of this site are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state courts located in Denver County, Colorado, and the federal courts located in the City and County of Denver, Colorado, have exclusive jurisdiction.
